Digital Account Executive / Account Manager

I am currently working in account management at the Walker Agency. This role includes assisting in the creation of campaigns for clients', leveraging digital tools as well as more traditional media to promote client’s capabilities, programs, and products internally and externally.

Working closely with the Creative Directors and Art Directors ensures unified branding.

Responsibilities Include:

*Client liaison and media/analyst relations
*Managing content calendars
*Scheduling and managing deliverables
*Managing delivery of work
*Daily client servicing, including meetings, email and phone contact
*Understanding briefs and providing creative performance driven programs
*Keeping up to date with new trends and updates
*Knowledge sharing between departments
*Managing client budgets
*Assisting with the organisation and planning for new potential integrated campaigns.
*Event Management (See Smint UK's Design Exhibition)
*Assisting in the analysis and reporting of digital and social media success metrics.
*Monitoring brands and relevant conversations online to engage with influencers and assess and mitigate brand risk.

Having the opportunity to work on behalf of clients’ campaigns within such an inspiring agency has proven to be an invaluable experience. I have been exposed to a professional team of people who are all extremely kind, helpful and willing to pass on their expertise and knowledge. Overall, I am constantly developing my skills and learning continuously which I am extremely thankful for.

The Marketing Bureau

April 2011 - September 2012

Full time Media Sales consultant / Market Research coordinator.

Responsibilities included maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients via meeting, telephone calls and emails. As well as visiting potential clients for new business, I also held responsibility for designing client artwork when necessary and still help them with design and implementation today whilst at University.

My role also included making accurate rapid cost calculations, and providing clients with quotations, estimates, and invoices to assist a sale. Other responsibilities included the following:
• Identifying new markets and business opportunities.
• Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
• Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office.
• Reviewing sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
• Organising venues for promotions, staffing promotions and briefing staff.
• Producing detailed reports and graphs for clients.
• Receptionist duties – answering telephone, ordering stationary, general office duties.

I still have a very close relationship with The Marketing Bureau, and I continue to work closely with them on various projects. I gained invaluable experience at The Marketing Bureau, but more importantly they helped me establish that I wanted to be more directly involved in advertising campaigns, rather than acting more of a media sales consultant for the client. University has allowed me to establish that my passion lies within the strategic planning process and brand consultancy and I hope to gain experience alongside my degree in this area.
